Academic Honesty Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2025

At www.preppool.com (“PrepPool”), we champion a learning culture grounded in trust, respect, and ethical conduct. Our resources are designed to strengthen understanding, not to replace genuine effort. By using PrepPool, you agree to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all study and assessment activities connected to our materials.

Integrity First
Zero Tolerance for Cheating
Respect Intellectual Property

1) Commitment to Academic Integrity

Students must engage with PrepPool materials in a manner that honestly reflects their own learning. All practice attempts, notes, and submissions created with our resources should be original work. Misrepresenting others’ work—or automated output—as your own violates this policy.

Tip: Use PrepPool to learn the “why” behind answers. Do not rely on summaries or shortcuts as substitutes for genuine study.

2) Prohibition of Cheating

Cheating in any form is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:

  • Using unauthorized notes, devices, or external assistance during practice exams or graded assessments.
  • Copying answers, sharing test content, or collaborating on tasks intended to be completed individually.
  • Submitting work created by someone else (contract cheating, purchased solutions) or falsifying results/attempts.
  • Impersonating another learner or allowing impersonation in any PrepPool activity.

3) Plagiarism Prevention & Proper Citation

All work you submit or share that is based on PrepPool content must be free from plagiarism. If you incorporate ideas, text, data, or diagrams from external sources (including textbooks, journals, or websites), provide proper citations according to your institution’s style guide. Copy-pasting solutions, paraphrasing without credit, or minor edits to uncredited text are still plagiarism.

4) Respecting Intellectual Property

Do not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly post PrepPool content (including questions, explanations, PDFs, or downloadable files). Our resources are protected by copyright and licensing terms. Commercial use or mass sharing of PrepPool materials without prior written consent is prohibited.

5) Use of AI and Third-Party Tools

Emerging tools can support learning when used responsibly. However, using AI systems, answer-generation apps, or solution banks to create work you present as your own is misconduct. Unless your instructor explicitly permits such tools for a task, you must:

  • Author your answers yourself and disclose any tool usage your institution requires you to disclose.
  • Never paste exam or assignment prompts into public tools that may store or share content.
  • Avoid “paraphrase-to-evade” techniques—these still constitute plagiarism.

PrepPool may provide explanatory text or worked examples; treat these as learning aids, not submissions for credit.

6) Collaboration Guidelines

Collaborative study can be valuable, but it must respect assignment rules. Unless expressly allowed by your instructor:

  • Do not co-author individual assignments or exchange near-final solutions.
  • Group discussion should focus on concepts and methods, not sharing exact answers.
  • Always follow your course/institution policy where it is stricter than this policy.

7) Monitoring, Verification, and Audit

To protect academic integrity, PrepPool may employ reasonable safeguards, such as randomized item pools, attempt analytics, plagiarism/similarity checks, metadata review, and limited proctoring measures for certain assessments. We may cooperate with academic institutions investigating alleged misconduct connected to our materials.

8) Consequences of Violating This Policy

Violations may result in actions including (without limitation):

  • Warning, score invalidation, or reset of progress/attempts
  • Temporary suspension or permanent termination of PrepPool access
  • Revocation of discounts, badges, certificates, or achievements issued via PrepPool
  • Notification to your academic institution or relevant authority where required or appropriate

Severity, intent, and prior history will be considered. PrepPool reserves the right to deny service in cases of repeated or egregious misconduct.

9) Reporting and Appeals

If you witness or suspect violations, report them to [email protected]. Provide as much detail as possible (URLs, screenshots, dates). We review all credible reports, protect reporter confidentiality to the extent feasible, and act promptly in line with this policy.

If an action is taken against your account and you believe there is new information or context, you may submit a good-faith appeal to the same address. Appeals should be concise, factual, and include supporting evidence.

10) Honor Pledge

By using PrepPool, you affirm:

  • “I will learn with integrity and represent my own work honestly.”
  • “I will not misuse PrepPool to gain unfair advantage on any assessment.”
  • “I will respect intellectual property and the efforts of others.”

Your commitment sustains a fair learning environment for everyone.

By accessing or using www.preppool.com, you agree to this Academic Honesty Policy and understand that maintaining integrity is essential to the value of your academic journey and credentials.
